When I was young I enjoyed drawing, like all children. I drew things I liked and dreamt of. And most of all I liked dogs and horses. At the same time I dreamt of having a dog and riding a horse. Later my parents bought me a cute poodle, and I was happy. But my another dream came true only when I was already about 14 years old, when it wasn’t actually a dream anymore, so I never rode a horse after that time. I still adore dogs. And I still love horses – they are very beautiful animals. And I still remember how I was trying to draw them. My pictures were never as good as these photos of horses. Full story

The two baby elephants on the picture are twins who were born in an elephant breeding center in Chitwan, Nepal. In the press they were named “double trouble” for their mum. They are now one month old and feel good. The infants are said to be the first elephant twins born in Nepal. They are very cute and so playful! I love elephants. Full story

Fennec fox is a small fox with large ears living in Sahara Desert. Fennec foxes are smaller than domestic cats, they grow up to 16 in. Their coats are sand-colored, so they can easily blend with the desert sand. Their large ears are very sensitive, they can hear insects walk on the sand. These cute ears and the friendly character make many people keep a fennec fox as a pet. They are very nice, active and playful – ideal friends. Full story

Last week three wombat pups were born at the Australian Wildlife Centre, Healesville, Melbourne. One of the pups received the name Paw Paw because one of his paws was white. Today I came across some interesting pictures made by Carl Warner. These photos not only look nice, but are also special. Carl Warner took pictures of landscapes which were created using various foods, like broccoli, bread, berries etc - everything natural. Sometimes it took two days to create a landscape. Can you imagine how hard it was for Carl Warner to make these pictures if most of the products can’t stay fresh for a long time? This is why these pictures are called foodscapes. They are so unusual. Sloth - it seems to me, what this lovely animal does all day long is only chewing leaves and hanging on trees. Scientists also call the sloth Folivora and Phyllophaga, both names mean “leaf-eaters”. Other names that were given to sloth derive from such words as “sleep” and “eat”. After mentioning this fact I don’t need to add anything to describe the character of this animal. Aren’t sloths cute!
