While the actors and producers of the TV series are counting their nominations and looking forward to the Emmy Awards Ceremony, Forbes magazine is handing out its rewards. This time the authoritative edition has published the list of highest-paid actresses on television.
1. Sofia Vergara
The first place went to the Colombian beauty Sofia Vergara. Over the past year, the star of the American Family series earned 19 million dollars. The way to fame took her 17 long years – and, finally, in 2012, she got three big movie roles, signed contracts with the “giants” – Cover Girl and Pepsi – and even launched her own line of clothes for the Kmart chain of stores. Moreover, good changes affected the actress’s personal life – they say she got engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Nicholas Loeb. Congratulations!
2. Kim Kardashian
The second place went to the reality-diva Kim Kardashian. Only in the past 12 months, the star of her own TV show appeared on the covers of various editions 63 times. In addition, the Kardashian family has signed a contract for three more seasons of Keeping Up With The Kardashians with the E! TV channel. Kim and her sisters have tried their hand at design. And the romance with Kanye West only fuels the interest to the celebrity. The result is 18 million in Kardashian’s bank.
3. Eva Longoria
Eva Longoria became the bronze winner. Starring in the final season of Desperate Housewives brought a good profit to the actress – 375 thousand dollars per episode. The latino beauty should not get upset because of the breaking up with Eduardo Cruz, especially when there are 15 million dollars in her pocket.
4. Bethenny Frankel
TV presenter and celebrity chef Bethenny Frankel, who came up with Skinnygirl Cocktails and wrote several books on healthy eating, is in fourth place. Last year Bethenny also started her own daytime show and earned 12 million dollars.
5. Khloe Kardashian
Khloe Kardashian is trying to keep up with her celebrity sister. But in the Forbes list, however, they are separated by two steps. Having earned $ 11 million last year, the girl got to the fifth position on the list.
6. Tina Fey
The comedian Tina Fey occupies the sixth place. The star of the 30 Rock series not only successfully performs on television, but also is happy in her family life – last year she gave birth to a second daughter, Penelope. Fey earned as much as Khloe Kardashian, 11 million.
7. Mariska Hargitay
The seventh line is taken by an American actress and producer, Mariska Hargitay. The star of the Law & Order TV series was awarded Emmy and Golden Globe for her work last year, and her fee for participating in the show reached 500,000 dollars per episode. In addition, in 2012 she will be honored with her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
8. Zooey Deschanel
Zooey Deschanel got onto line eight with nine million dollars in her pocket. She acted in TV sitcom New Girl (the series was renewed for a second season and was nominated for two Golden Globes) and participates in Pantene, Apple, and Rimmel London ad campaigns.
9. Felicity Huffman
Another “desperate housewife” in the list is Felicity Huffman. This year she received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and earned nine million.
10. Ellen Pompeo
The top ten is closed by actress Ellen Pompeo. She not only continues to star in the popular TV series Grey’s Anatomy, last year she opened her own production company and has already sold one of the projects to the ABC channel.
