Despite all the public controversy, the scandal over Kate Middleton’s topless photos isn’t going to die away that simply! Further photos are about to be publicized, it appears from an announcement on CNN on Saturday. This time the Italian magazine Chi shared its intention to issue an “extraordinary” special edition on Monday with a set of Middleton’s topless pics.
There will be 26 pages of previously unpublished photographs of the Prince, 30, and the Duchess, also 30, according to the information from the mag’s owners’ spokeswoman Carmen Mugione.
The owners, the Mondadori company, had already had their French magazine Closer publish the Duchess of Cambridge’s vacation photographs on Friday. In the pics the royal wife is sunbathing sans her swimsuit top alongside her illustrious husband.
Immediately upon the publication officials of the royal family declared that the mag would be taken to court over the unauthorized release – but it doesn’t seem to deter Chi from another full-bodied issue!
Alfonso Signorini, Chi’s editor-in-chief, confirmed the oncoming publication to CNN in an e-mail, saying he was certain the material will make a good extraordinary edition “because it shows in a natural light the everyday life of a very famous contemporary young couple in love.” He added that the couple’s relation to England’s royal family only goes to make it “more current” and in no way distracting from the modern outlook on monarchy.
William and Kate, who are engaged the Diamond Jubilee celebration in Southeast Asia, stated that the publication of these photos makes them “furious,” as Us Weekly got from an inside source.
An official statement from the palace rep issued on Friday says that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge instituted a lawsuit against the Closer publishers for breach of privacy.
