The actress’s rep confirmed that Comrie, 29, asked Duff, 22, for her hand and heart last weekend while they were lazying in Hawaii. The romantic spot worked its usual magic, and the pair is engaged!
Their relationship lasts from 2007, and Comrie’s admiration for Duff expressed itself in his birthday gift for her 20th birthday – a Mercedes-Benz G-class SUV.
For all this time the singer and the hockey player enjoyed a serene and fulfilling liaison, delighting in each other’s company. She described Comrie to Us as “a great guy.” “I’ve never met anyone who could say a bad word about him. He’s generous, caring, funny. We just laugh our heads off, which I need in my life …”
Both of them are leading busy lives and spend too much time apart, but that doesn’t ruffle them a little bit. It’s even better that one of them isn’t sitting at home waiting and moping while the other is away, Duff thinks. “We ‘re both very focused people, so that helps.” Her husband-to-be agrees with her on that point, adding that leading different lives makes it more fun.
