The thing is, the light produces the impression that the day is not over yet, and you don’t get tuned for going to bed. The reason for that is clear from a research conducted by the Lighting Research Center at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute – it shows that a 2-hour exposure to the screen in the evening inhibits the generating of melatonin, the hormone in charge of sleeping habits, by almost 25%!
