Latest fashion weeks revealed that one of the hottest trends of this year’s spring and summer (as well as of fall and winter) would be asymmetry.
Right and left parts of your clothes don’t need to be the same anymore. They must be different! Toga dresses, one strap blouses, uneven skirt hem, applications… the list is endless, fashion designers‘ creativity knows no boundaries. The trend even influenced lingerie and swimsuits. It didn’t take over footwear, though. But, perhaps, we’ll soon see models walk down catwalks in shoes different in colors and forms.
The list of brands which introduced asymmetry cut in their spring-summer collections is also endless – Balenciaga, Celine, Gucci, Prada, YSL, Valentino, La Perla and others.
By the way, once this trend is obsolete, you can redesign your asymmetric dress into classic one. Just cut off a sleeve, even out a hemline or rip off application. Well, it would be also fun trying a fashion designer’s role.
