There are ways and ways to commemorate your beloved ones; more often they are small-scale private affairs, but there are people like Pedro Ureta who will go any lengths to fashion a commemorative project that is sure to make one gasp – like planting a forest.
The idea to set up a forest shaped like a guitar had been conceived by his wife Graciela, an ardent nature lover, but sadly, Graciela didn’t live to see the idea carried out, leaving Pedro to realize the concept on his own. The completion of such an intricate forest was a challenge, but it didn’t deter the bereaved husband, and his wife’s dream was brought into being.
The shape of a guitar – better viewed from the bird’s eye – is perfectly outlined by cypresses, while the strings are vividly done in blue eucalyptuses. There is no doubt that Graciela would have loved this unique love token!
