Blake Shelton is sure to remember this year for a long time! As if walking down the aisle with Miranda Lambert and participating on The Voice alongside Christina Aguilera and Adam Levine wasn’t enough, he goes and wins at 2011 CMT Music Awards. And wins again, becoming the only artists to bag two awards – the best web video with Kiss My Country Ass and the best male video with Who Are You When I’m Not Looking.
While queening the female video of the year is his dear wife Miranda Lambert with her song The House That Built Me. They must be celebrating, and how!
Celebrating with them is also Trey Fanjoy who got the director’s award for two of their videos, Who Are You and The House.
Taylor Swift didn’t miss her chance to get the video of the year with Mine (she must have known!), and the collaboration of Justin Bieber and Rascal Flatts on That Should Be Me won them an award too.
The group video award went to Lady Antebellum for Hello World while Sugarland got away with the duo award for Stuck Like Glue.
CMT performance video of the year was awarded to Jimmy Buffett and Zac Brown Band for Margaritaville and the best breakthrough rests with the Band Perry who made it with If I Die Young.
