An interesting experiment was conducted by the Birchbox staff. They got to know how many times an average lipstick can be applied.
At first, the girls taking part in the experiment found that the average length of the lips is 50 mm. It was calculated by testing 10 employees of the company. By the way, the data coincided with the results of another study.
Then they had to figure out how many strokes of lipstick reaching 50 mm in length could be performed. And they did it. The researchers took a huge sheet of paper, purchased a few tubes of lipstick from different manufacturers at a local pharmacy, and started the experiment.
After about 1000 lines had been made, they managed to get an average figure. By the way, they were applying the lipstick with a different pressure. And here is the result!
An average lipstick can be applied 293 times. This means that if you apply lipstick three times a day, you will run out of lipstick in three months. It looks like the time of just one season. Are you still undecided about whether to follow the latest trends? Of course, you should do it. After every three months (at least), you will have to decide again what new lipstick to buy.
