The Balmain design house, led by a young creative director Olivier Rousteing, once again introduces the Ivoire de Balmain fragrance created in 1979. The modern version of Balmain Ivoire is the novelty of July 2012.
This chypre floral-fruity scent was super popular in the 1980-s.
Producing it again, the Balmain House stresses that it respects, preserves and enriches the heritage of the House. Pierre Balmain himself spoke about the idea of Ivoire de Balmain fragrance saying that Ivoire was the name he had seen in a dream. According to him, this name belonged to a woman with a unique beauty, with her figure enveloped in a pale silk dress. Olivier says they met for a moment on the stairs in the Opera, and then she disappeared into the night…
What should the fans of the fragrance expect this year? Olivier Rousteing says that the new composition can surely remain in the history.
The fragrance opens with mandarin chords, violet leaves and galbanum. The beginning drags us into a rich floral ‘heart’, created by rose, jasmine, iris, and ylang-ylang. The elegant vetiver, cedar, and the pronounced patchouli note are the luxurious base shades, wrapped in a delicate aroma of vanilla.
The new Balmain Ivoire fragrance comes in the form of Eau de Parfum (30, 50 and 100 ml).
