Each season, famous fashion houses update their collections. Well-known brands actively create new fragrances, adding them to their perfume lines.

Meet the fragrance of Autumn in the perfumes created by famous brands.

1. B. by Balenciaga

Creative director of the Balenciaga brand, Alexander Wang, is sure that the new fragrance created by the Balenciaga house and perfumer Domitille Bertier is something quite extraordinary that has never been done before.
The new fragrance will appear on the market in October 2014.

The pyramid of the composition:

  • the top notes include violet leaf, Edamame green soy beans, lily of the valley;
  • the heart notes are white iris and cedar;
  • the base notes are cashmere wood and ambretta.

2. Mojave Ghost by Byredo Parfums

Byredo is a new brand. Ben Gorham founded Byredo in Stockholm in 2006, and the first fragrance appeared in 2008. Byredo products are sold in Paris and New York.


The new 2014 Mojave Ghost Byredo fragrance is announced as suitable for both men and women – it is unisex woody.

The pyramid of the composition:

  • the top notes include ambretta and sapodilla;
  • the heart notes are violet, sandalwood, and magnolia;
  • the base notes contain ambergris and white cedar.

3. Knot by Bottega Veneta

Bottega Veneta house launched its first perfume collection 3 years ago.


The debut product was a leather-chypre fragrance. In the fall of 2014, a new fragrance called Knot appeared on the market. It was lighter and contained citrus and floral notes, developed by Daniela Andrier (perfumer of the Givaudan house).

The pyramid of the composition:

  • the top notes are clementine, mandarin, lime, neroli, and orange blossom;
  • the heart notes include lavandula, white rose, and peony;
  • the base notes include musk and tonka beans.

4. Black Opium by Yves Saint Laurent

Back in 1977, the world got to know about the perfume creation of the Yves Saint Laurent house – the rich, powerful and spicy oriental fragrance called Opium.


In the autumn of 2014, the YSL brand launched a new fragrance.

Black Opium was announced as the interpretation of the original classic rock-n-roll style. The emphasis was made on the mysterious aspects of the Yves Saint Laurent brand.

The composition of the new edition was created by perfumers Marie Salamagne and Nathalie Lorson.

The pyramid of the composition is as follows:

  • the top notes are represented by pink pepper, orange blossom, and pear;
  • the heart notes include coffee and jasmine;
  • the base notes contain vanilla, patchouli, and white cedar.

The dominant note of the fragrance is its intense coffee chord.

5. Reveal by Calvin Klein

Conveying the erotic aroma of tanned skin is the main goal of creating REVEAL Calvin Klein. Delicate odor of sea salt creates wonderful images of the ocean and tropical islands.


The creation of the new composition and the advertising campaign of Reveal by Calvin Klein were run by the following team:

  • perfumers Jean Marc Chaillan and Bruno Jovanovic;
  • perfume consultant Ann Gottlieb;
  • advertising posters were created by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott along with Doug Lloyd;
  • the director of the commercials is Jonas Akerlund;
  • the soundtrack to the “Bright Lights” video was performed by Gary Clark Jr.

  • the top notes are salt, pink pepper, black pepper, white pepper;
  • the heart notes contain iris and ambergris;
  • the base notes include cashmere wood, sandalwood, vetiver and musk.

6. My Burberry by Burberry

The new fragrance My Burberry is a tribute to the famous British Burberry brand. Cara Delevingne and Kate Moss gave a superb performance of the fragrance and showed the main purpose of the advertising campaign – the fragrance is focused on the British charm and style.


The filming was directed by Mario Testino.

Perfumer Francis Kurkdjian was entrusted with the serious task of creating the fragrance. In turn, he felt inspired by the London atmosphere and created a “very British fragrance.”

The pyramid of the composition:

  • the top notes are sweet pea, bergamot, and mandarin;
  • the heart notes include white freesia, geranium, and quince;
  • the base notes are represented by patchouli, rose, and damask rose.

7. Patchouli Absolut by Tom Ford

Patchouli Absolut is a fragrance from the unisex series, and it is entirely devoted to the popular perfume ingredient – patchouli.


This fragrance is a 2014 aromatic novelty in the collection of the Tom Ford brand.

The pyramid of the composition:

  • the top notes are laurel, rosemary, and oak moss;
  • the heart notes are patchouli, guaiac wood, violet, wood, and cashmere wood;
  • the base notes include patchouli, tonka beans, amber, musk and leather.
