Russell Brand is said to be down with a grave case of second thoughts about his broken marriage.
As the wife he rejected, Katy Perry, was spotted attending the Coachella Festival in April in the affectionate company of Florence and the Machine musician Robert Ackroyd, the displeased ex-husband is rumored to be writhing with the pangs of jealously. The outcome of which is said to be a lengthy email to Perry in which Brand regrets having given up on their marriage without trying to patch things up first.
The British actor, 36, filed for divorce last year claiming he and Perry, 27, had ‘irreconcilable differences,’ but it looks like 5 months since he is ready to come around. The rumor has it that in his email he called the breakup a “mistake” and suggested they give their marriage a second chance.
Grazia got from a source close to the aggrieved husband that Brand was “seething with jealousy” upon seeing photos of Perry being cozy with Ackroyd. It seems to have started him on a new train of thought about their marriage. Maybe it has dawned on him that his wife had been a very special person in his life.
In December, when the actor decided on a divorce, one of the reasons behind their disagreements was said to be Perry’s party-filled life, while Brand would prefer she cut down on partying. At the time Perry was committed to a grand tour which may have prevented them from arguing things out properly.
As Perry picked up the pieces and got on with her own life, Brand fell back on the company of his mother Barbara for consolation. Lately they were spending a lot of time together, the actor taking his mother to lunch to Primrose Hill in London.
Perry’s recent Twitter message, a quotation from Forrest Gump about turning into a bird and flying far away, may just mean that she isn’t unresponsive to his change of heart.
