In the teen years, many people do things which they regret later. Like singer Lily Allen, now 24, who was so depressed when her first love affair broke up that she attempted to slit her wrists. Sarah Owen, 29, who shares the same mother with Lily said in an interview with Grazia Magazine: “Aged 18, she tried to slit her wrists when her first relationship ended”.
After the suicide attempt, Lily was in The Priory rehab clinic for four weeks. According to Sarah, Lily was more of a loner. “She had no-one to talk to about getting her first period or breaking up with her first boyfriend”, she said. The track Back to the Start from Lily’s new album to be released on February, 9, is dedicated to Sarah.
