Jake Pavelka, 32, and Vienna Girardi, 29, are to come together on July 5 in the next The Bachelorette episode, but no longer as a couple. Vienna is not only Pavelka’s ex-fiancee, she is the target of his anger for mistreatment, or, as he calls it, “a serious lack of respect”.
Girardi’s alleged fling with actor Gregory Michael was denied by the young woman, and Pavelka is ready to give her the benefit of doubt… But what really got his goat was her selling her story to a tabloid without letting him know. He cannot think of any reason for doing this apart from desiring a transitory spot of fame.
Actually Pavelka believes fame to be the driving force behind Girardi’s growing dissatisfaction within the relationship. While he was rising in the public’s eye due to his Dancing with the Stars and the Lifetime Drop Dead Diva appearance, his fiancée began to grow jealous of the limelight he was getting.
“Fame changes people,” he summed up. “She feels like Dancing with the Stars should have been hers, but in my view, I felt like it was ours.” (He referred to the duet they danced on the finale of DWTS after he’d been voted off.)
Frustration and jealousy, in Pavelka’s view, drove his ex-fiancee to rash misdeeds. He says he feels as if she deliberately chose a harsh way to put an end to their relationship instead of rounding it off amicably.
Going by what inside sources spilled to Us Weekly, Pavelka’s reading of his ex is quite correct, and their affair had been going wrong for some time before. The sources confirm that Girardi was in the pangs of jealousy and didn’t behave as if she meant to be supporting his career.
Entertainment Tonight reports that apart from The Bachelorette Pavelka will also be seen on Chris Harrison’s Bachelor Pad, with Harrison vouching for his presence in spite of whatever is going on in his private life.
