According to People, Christina Hendricks, 34, married fiancé Geoffrey Arend, 31, on Sunday. The wedding took place at Il Buco restaurant in New York, crowning the happy meeting and the engagement that all happened within this year.
The lovers first met when Hendricks played Joan on Mad Men; it was her co-star Vincent Kartheiser who introduced Arend to her. The engagement didn’t take long in following.
Hendricks was sure that she had found her perfect man in Arend. “He’s considerate, he’s thoughtful, he’s smart, he takes care of me,” she shared with People. “He’s very, very giving.”
In July the discussions of the forthcoming marriage were in full swing.
Hendricks confessed to People that she was inspired by a Carolina Herrera wedding gown and considered it to be the very thing for her. “It was the first dress I tried on,” she said, “and it was magnificent.” She hadn’t changed her mind, and appeared in the ivory fils coupe gown that had won her admiration.
The rings were platinum wedding bands by Tacori. It was another propitious find by the couple. Tacori rep Michelle Chila gave a vivid description of the scene. “They put the rings on the table and said, ‘Look, they talk to each other. They’re friends.’ ”
Diamonds pave-set in two rows make a symbol of union of Arend’s engraved ring and Christina’s platinum one. “The rings are simple and lovely – so much like Christina and Geoffrey,” Michelle Chila says.
