It’s a tight knot Bradley Cooper and Zoe Saldana will have to unravel should they wish to stay together – and there is always Cooper’s mother who may well prove to be their undoing.
As reports RadarOnline, Saldana is all out to recapture the affections of the Silver Linings Playbook Oscar nominee, but for that she will have to overcome his mother Gloria’s obstruction. Mrs. Cooper resides with her famous 38-year-old son and isn’t above telling him whom she regards as an eligible girl for her dear son – and in this case she certainly doesn’t think so!
A source close to the Cooper family shared that when her son had decided to patch it up with Saldana, Gloria took pains to strike up a closer acquaintance with the Avatar star and decided that she doesn’t fit into the picture.
Mrs. Cooper is similar to all mothers in that she checks up on her son’s girlfriends, the source explains. Like she had approved of his date Renee Zellweger and was right in that, they stay good friends. But it turned out different with the Avatar actress, who proved to be not so easy to find out about. So, when Cooper and Saldana, 34, made as if they were going to reunite, she pointed out that their relationship had already gone to the rocks twice, and what did he expect to get the third time round?
Nevertheless, there is a source telling that People’s 2011 Sexiest Man keeps dating Soldana on the sly!
The New York Post’s Page Six reported that Cooper and Saldana’s second breakup came on on the verge of Christmas holidays – but it may not be the final page in their love story yet. Although the new Jersey belle is rumored to be intimidated a little by the fastidious mother, it looks as if they are ready to give it another try.
The duo’s history goes back to their first attempt at relationship after getting together for the shooting of The Words which lasted for 3 months; half a year later, last September, they had another go at it.
As Page Six learned from a source, Saldana had been set to go to Europe for Christmas with Cooper and his family, but something came unstuck, and instead of Paris the actress went to Miami with some of her friends.
Is it possible they are trying to fan the flame for the third time?
