About 15% of drivers surveyed in the United States and five other countries, recognized having sex or sexual acts while driving, USA Today writes. The survey was conducted by the Danish headphones manufacturer Jabra among 1,800 drivers aged between 18 and 65 in the United States, Britain, France, Germany, Russia and Japan.

Jonas Forsberg, General Manager at the Jabra North American division said they were shocked when they learned the results of the survey and saw what people were doing at the time when they should concentrate on driving. He added that they wanted to encourage drivers to focus on the road and use a headset or speakerphone.

Some women are capable of real exploits while driving. In late May, a resident of the city Bemidji (Minnesota, USA) Amanda McBride gave birth to a child while driving Chevrolet Cobalt produced in 2005. As reported by the local edition The Bemidji Pioneer, the baby was born at the speed of 110 km/h when the woman was trying to drive to the hospital herself.

According to the researchers, 72% of drivers admitted eating while driving, 35% – dressing, 29% – kissing, 13% – applying make-up, 10% – reading newspapers or magazines, and 5% – shaving. Most of the respondents talked on the phone without using the headset, which helps to free the hands, despite the fact that in many countries it is prohibited by the law.

The British were recognized as the most law-abiding, and the Japanese – as worst offenders, who liked playing video games, watching movies, and using music devices while driving.

Of course, all the offenders are aware of their guilt. The survey respondents believe that the most dangerous things to do while driving are using a laptop, having sex and sending SMS.
