It has been observed that women who take oral contraceptives poorly control their emotions and are often suspicious and aggressive. Dutch scientists have even claimed that hormonal birth control pills literally make women jealous.
275 women between the ages of 17 and 35 participated in the experiment. Women in the control group were asked to share their feelings when they see their man flirting with another woman.
It was found that women who were taking pills high in estrogen felt jealous much more frequently than those women who used other methods of contraception.
The scientists advised women to be more careful in choosing birth control pills and be sure to consult with their doctors so that such pills do not reflect negatively on their morale and relationship with a loved one.
