Bridget Jones is all right, going strong, and getting primed up for the next installment of her story. Yes, Working Title Films and the producer of both 2001 Bridget Jones’s Diary and 2004 The Edge of Reason flicks have officially announced that Bridget Jones’s Diary 3 is on the schedule with Renee Zellweger starring.
Zellweger, who ten years ago got her nomination for the Academy Award for best Actress for her portrayal of the protagonist, will have to put on some flesh again and hone her British accent, whereas there is no word yet whether Hugh Grant and Colin Firth will also be on the cast.
The original film was an adaptation of Helen Fielding’s eponymous novel that The Guardian named as one of the books best defining the 20th century.
