1. You spend too much time on the things that you should not do

Video games. Reality shows. Surfing the Internet. Too much food. Too much alcohol. The list is endless. Take a serious look at your life. Where do you waste most of your time? Is it of any benefit for you? Does it lead to a better life? Does it lay the foundation of your bright future? If not, you just need to reconsider what you are doing and make some changes.

2. You complain too much

Some people are constantly overwhelmed with their life, and they always talk about it. Are you such a person? Do you complain about your job, your boss, your salary, your neighbors or your spouse? If you do, you are not doing anything except spreading negative energy. Negativity does not change things. Negative feelings keep you stuck. So change your thoughts and also talk about what you value in your life, and not about what you do not like in it.

3. You do not feed your brain

If you do not continue to learn and grow as a personality, you are frozen in your place. Just like pond water that is not moving and is covered with some green stuff. This is what happens to your brain if you do not keep it active and if you do not learn anything new. Positive challenges in your life will expand your horizons, and you will not degrade.

4. You have too much negative self-talk

Self-talk can make or break your life. As Henry Ford said, if you think you can or you think you cannot… anyway, you’re right. If you tell yourself that you are not smart enough to get a prize or start a business, you’re right. If you tell yourself that you are too tired to make the effort and change your life, you’re right. Whatever you say to yourself, all of this becomes your reality.

5. You do not feel inspiration

Do you have a passion for something? Many people think they have nothing that motivates them. But this is not true. In any case, there should be something that you enjoy doing. So you need to rediscover something that you care about. And then make more of it.

6. You do not plan your future

Even though it’s always great to live right now and enjoy this moment, sometimes you have to look forward to see where you want to go. If you do not have a goal or plan, you are a boat that wanders aimlessly in the ocean, hoping to find yourself somewhere in a good location. But you will not succeed. You must follow a step-by-step plan to reach the place where you want to be.

7. You spend too much time on the people who do not contribute to your growth

It is very easy to get stuck and hang out with people who do not make you feel better. And if you continue to hang out in this swamp, you will remain at the same level or even become worse with these people. They are energy vampires. They suck the life out of you and do not give anything positive in return. Find growth-oriented people and be close to them.

8. You are addicted to your phone

Of course, smartphones are super cool gadgets that can fascinate us when we use them. Despite the fact that this is a pleasant way to spend time, consider how much time you spend on the phone. And even more – think about the relationship that could suffer because of this. Maybe, you were talking to someone or looking for something on the Internet, while eating with your spouse or children. If so, you lose a lot of time that you could spend with your beloved ones or use it to make a plan for your future.

9. You spend money on something that does not matter

There is a big difference between “want” and “need.” This is what we learn as early as in kindergarten. However, in modern society, these boundaries are blurred. There are people who cannot pay their loans back, but they have the trendiest gadgets on the planet. If you think about it, in fact, there are so few things that we really need. Food, water, shelter, and love are some of these things. Everything else is just bonuses. So, look at what you spend your money on, and make some changes if you can. Maybe you can save money to invest in your future.

10. You sleep not enough

Sleep is essential for good health. Are you too busy to sleep enough? Do you have a bad habit of lingering over your affairs or dawdling until dawn? Then you might want to change your habits.

11. You do not care about your body

Not only sleep is important for your health, but also food and exercise. A balanced diet, healthy food and regular physical exercises have a very positive impact on you. They also affect your general and mental health. Consider your diet and activity level. Maybe you will notice that you need to make only small changes to improve your life dramatically.

12. You do not leave your comfort zone

Here we are talking about the risks that will improve your life. And keep in mind that there is a difference between “risk” and “calculated risk.” Any risk can be fatal. But a calculated risk is when you have weighed all the options and come up with a good and sensible course of actions.

13. You live a life that you do not like

Success is measured by happiness. Are you happy? If not, you need to change something! Even a sense of satisfaction or pleasure will tell you that your life is a complete and round thing. Life should bring fun! So if you do not enjoy life, take a look at some of the changes you can make to get something better.

If any of these 13 points applies to you, do not get desperate. You can change everything. But the first change that you need to implement is to get rid of the idea that you cannot do anything. Your thoughts are your biggest obstacle. So this is where you should start. Change your thinking, and it will change your life!
