An average woman applies more than 515 chemicals on her face every day, according to Telegraph.co.uk. Scientists estimated women use 13 beauty products for face on a daily basis, most of which contain a minimum of 20 different chemicals.
On average, lipstick contains 33 chemical ingredients, body lotion 32, mascara 29, and hand moisturizer 11. Some perfume products comprise up to 400 chemicals. Scientists warn that it is still unknown how that much of chemicals could impact face skin and overall health, while allergy prevalence is increasing with every year.
