It has been a long show for Kate Gosselin, but now it’s over. Only last week she said she intended to go on with her reality show as long as people were watching, but the bell rang soon after that.
The rep for the TLC network issued a statement Monday saying there was a decision “not to renew another season” of her reality show. The network is going to stay in touch with the family for possible future specials, reminding the public that “Kate Plus 8” (and “Jon & Kate Plus 8”) was running on towards the total of 150 episodes – “an exceptional milestone.”
The show, previously filmed with the participation of Kate’s now divorced husband Jon, started in 2005 after the birth of the couple’s sextuplets who made eight with their twins. The twins are now 10 and the sextuplets turned 6.
Afterwards Jon and Kate had a break-up, and Jon tried to get his children off from the show, but failed. His wife kept on with it, publishing books along the way. Three books on parenting are out, and a cooking manual is in preparation.
