Hopefully Kate Moss drew as much enjoyment out of her first walk down the aisle as she derives from her usual runway rounds as the 37-year-old model got married to her fiancé rocker Jamie Hince last Friday.
Her home in Cotswold, England, became the center of the festivities that are known under the media nickname of “Mosstock.” It was reported that the house was barricaded against unauthorized intrusion and there were police on the roads outside.
The festivities were opened with vows at St. Peter’s Church in Southrop, after which the newlyweds made pictures of themselves surrounded by 12 bridesmaids among which was Moss’s 8-year-old daughter, Lila Grace.
The bride’s attire was a vintage-looking cream gown with rhinestone adornment, believed to be John Galliano’s work. The guitar-wielding groom was wearing a blue Yves Saint Laurent suit over a striped shirt and a tie.
The several-day party lasted through the weekend.
The supermodel had already been engaged to the Libertines’ frontman Pete Doherty, a relationship that was scandalously over in the summer of 2007. Shortly afterwards she was introduced to Hince, the Kills’ founder, after the group’s concert. He proposed to her in February this year in bed.
