Justin Bieber is yet to get over the end of his 2-year-long love affair. While Us Weekly is receiving confirmation of his breakup with Selena Gomez, 20, from various sources, the teen singer can’t bring himself round to be vocal about it.
During his recent interview for Open House Party last Saturday, when questioned by radio host John Garabedian whether the rumors of him and Gomez having split were true, the 18-year old practically admitted to being confused about what’s going on. He tried to avoid any clear statement, dithering that he was unable to make any comment or “to even assess that it doesn’t make sense.”
That can really take some living down because Bieber is in the midst of his Believe tour pleasing his Boston fans. Judging by his Twitter messages, he is thankful to be receiving their support. He wrote that he was “focused on the positive” and promised to never leave his loyal army of “#30MillionBeliebers with me.”
The same Saturday his ex-girlfriend Gomez (the split is reported to have occurred on October 31), through with the work on her Disney series Wizards of Waverly Place, arrived to New York by plane.
The two had been suspected of separating for quite a while and had to fight pessimistic rumors like at the Vanity Fair Oscar party in February last year; moreover, Gomez had to bear with Bieber’s ardent fans who were incessantly badmouthing her on the Internet. Tired and disappointed, the actress decided to untie herself.
As Us heard from an inside source Friday, Gomez announced she wanted out in the last week of October. “Selena definitely had some major trust issues with Justin,” shared the source, adding that their relationship had been “really challenging” throughout the past year due to the duo’s tight schedules.
