Now Chris Brown is the bone of contention between Rihanna and Joan Rivers.
When Rivers, 79, heard the 24-year-old singer discuss her attitude to Chris Brown with Oprah Winfrey, her reaction came fast and sharp as she called Rihanna an “idiot.” The other woman didn’t take it quietly!
The Fashion Police host tweeted that it was her turn “to slap” the hitmaker for being an idiot as she shared with Winfrey that she was still in love with Brown, 23. Rihanna took the issue immediately, tweeting back that Rivers was a proof of people growing slow with age. Though, she seems to have deleted the message later.
The show that sent sparks flying was Sunday’s Oprah’s Next Chapter where Rihanna spilled that she still feels bonded with her ex boyfriend Brown (who attacked her in February 2009 which led to his getting pulled in).
The singer gushed that theirs seems to be a love that will never fade away whatever may happen between them, and neither she nor he are going to do anything about it. Brown was her first love and is going to remain the main love, and her only wish for him that “he’s at peace. I’m not at peace if he’s not happy or he’s still lonely. I care.”
Anyhow, Rivers took it upon herself to remind her the old adage that who strikes once, will strike again, it’s hard statistics. As a PS she added that she is glad to have Rihanna on Fashion Police.
