Cher, Eminem and P.E.T.A. are the ones who are steering clear of Lady GaGa – at least until she has changed her outfit!
As soon as Lady GaGa showed up at the MTV VMA on Sunday night wearing her notorious meat dress designed by Argentinian Franc Fernandez, it sent sparks flying in all directions.
Animal rights activists had already voiced their disdain over the gory spectacle the singer was presenting to the world, with Ingrid Newkirk, the P.E.T.A. founder, describing the shocking attire as made from “the decomposing flesh of an abused animal who didn’t want to die.”
The VMA gave a chance to Lady GaGa’s co-stagers to experience the full impact of her latest attempt to get everybody to sit up and take notice… Eminem was one of those who reacted quickly, refusing to take the seat next to the Fame Meat Monster beauty.
The Mirror quotes an insider in the know who said that Marshall preferred to keep his distance from what he called “a pile of raw meat” and complained of an awful smell.
What with the dress being exposed to the stage lightning and inside temperature, not only the famous rapper wondered if it was not rotting and alive with maggots.
Cher, the one who was called upon to present the 24-year-old singer with the Best Video award and was even asked to hold Lady G’s meat purse, didn’t seem to be able to move up close enough to the flesh-covered star.
The Lady herself is not Speechless about it, nor going to give up the gown that smacks of mutilation and putrefaction to others. She claims that there are other interpretations to the way she dresses these days, and she never meant to show disrespect to anyone at all.
