Which Sugar Is Safer for Your Health?

Not all sugars are equally bad for us, say scientists from California State University, US. They claim that daily consumption of fructose is unhealthier than the consumption of the same amount of glucose.

Sugar Candies

In the experiment, researchers observed 32 overweight people. All participants drank beverages sweetened with glucose or fructose during 12 weeks. Then scientists measured the weight of examinees and the condition of their different organs. They found that fructose-sweetened beverages increased fat deposits and had bad effects on the liver function. Scientists remind that the majority of today’s sweet drinks uses fructose or sucrose, which contains fructose and glucose in 1:1 proportion.

Sugar is sugar. I’m a diabetic and I use no aspartame or the other equal junk. I us a product called Xylitol. Xylitol, looks like sugar, taste like sugar and is sweet like sugar (No after taste), it’s slow digesting so it’s safe for diabetics and no sugar spikes to the blood glucose.
