One of the exhibits at the next week’s PFD International 2010 in Chiba, Japan, furnished by AUO will be a new 14-inch touch keyboard notebook that can draw power from the sunlight or other light sources.
LCD devices-specializing AUO had a specially designed solar panel attached on the notebook that can provide up to 20% system power.
Actually, there are two solar panels 2.1mm thick, one built into the keyboard, the other fixed to the notebook cover enabling the notebook to collect and store natural and artificial light even when it is not in use.
