Chanel’s Global Creative Director of Makeup Peter Philips used to be a graphic design major – and a terrific one, judging by the superlative animated short video he made for NOWNESS.

One wonder from start to finish, the video features Chanel makeup products and accessories twisted round into a set of highly ingenious characters. A kind of a weird journey unwinds, from an airborne lipstick-fueled automation to a model bearing an unmistakable resemblance to Mme Chanel.
