Low calorie diet followers increase their life expectancy chances, scientists of U.S. National Institute of Health believe. According to a recently completed broad-band medical research, with apes subject to years of low calorie diet risks of death from cancer, diabetics and coronary disease were lowered by two thirds.
The apes-on-the-diet also looked younger than other species of the same age. When some humans were put on a low calorie diet for 6 years as a part of the like experiment, it was discovered that their hearts functioning was as good as that of people that were 16 younger, the scientists remind.
Low calorie diet is based on calculating calorie rate required per person to keep within healthy weight limits. As soon as the number of calories is obtained, it is cut by 10 – 30 per cent.
