Scientists at University of Fribourg, Switzerland, have recently discovered a ferment which is in charge of our mood. According to the publication from magazine “Science”, the researchers managed to identify a ferment, which increases or decreases the concentration of dopamine and serotonin depending on the time of the day.
These substances influence different brain centers and define our daily biorhythm, including mood fluctuations. Once the ferment gets blocked, the body produces much less substances influencing the mood in a good way, claim the scientists. Hereafter this ferment may be very useful in the development of the new generation of antidepressants.
