The sale of one of the most precious lots at Sotheby’s auction has recently taken place. A ring with a very rare pink diamond, which is now exhibited together with the royal emerald tiara, has been sold at the price of $ 9.6 million.
The auction has evaluated the ring from $ 9 million to $ 17 million. This magnificent 10 carat diamond, which is mounted into the ring, has a natural pink hue and is certified by GIA. It has a classic emerald faceting which is common for white diamonds, but is considered a rarity among colored gems, so these diamonds are extremely precious and expensive.
50 pieces of jewelry by Cartier, about 40 items by Van Cleef and Arpels, as well as several copies of the JAR collection have been sold at Sotheby’s.
