The song with a rather symbolic title Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall has been recently released. It actually happened on 3 June, 2011, when the single became available as a digital download. In Britain, though, it was released only on June 5. The single includes elements of the song “I Go to Rio” by Peter Allen, which was written in 1976.
Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall debuted on the BBC radio stations, Xfm, and Absolute Radio. It also appeared at position 29 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and sold 85,000 copies during the first week after being released.
