Whether you’re in a new relationship or you’ve been in the same relationship for years and years, dating can be, well… expensive. Sometimes you’ve not got loads of cash to try out the latest restaurants or newest night spots, or you’re simply too lazy to stray too far from home. In those cases, it’s kind of easy to get stuck in a rut. However, there are plenty of things you can do at home to keep the spark alive, which won’t cost you an absolute fortune.
Baking or Cooking
It’s a little old school, but baking or cooking with a partner can be a really fun date! Not only can you eat some tasty treats for a lot cheaper than you can when you’re dining out, you can have a real giggle whilst you’re at it. You can get super creative, in addition to having some time together away from screens and other modern distractions. It’s a great bonding exercise, because you have to co-operate in order to get the perfect end result, but you can also have a good chat whilst you’re at it as well.

Gaming
Gaming is a really fun activity for couples, because it can bring out your competitive side! You can opt for traditional console games, or you can try out some online slot machines for real money if you’re wanting to just use your computer and nothing else. There are loads of online slots that you can play to replicate arcade games, and they’re a whole lot of fun to get involved with just for the sake of it. Who knows? Maybe your ventures into these games will spark a trip somewhere to experience a physical casino?!
Binge Watching TV
Television is an idea for a date that will probably polarise a lot of people – after all, it seems kind of anti-social! However, you can choose a title together, pick something to evoke a real conversation, and of course, you can shop together for snacks beforehand! Sometimes when you’re watching shows in an endless loop, it’s all about what you eat whilst you’re at it!
Cocktail Making
Making cocktails can be a really hard art to master, but it’s amazing for a number of reasons. Firstly, alcohol. By getting a little tipsy together, you can end up having a lot of fun, that’s for sure. But secondly, it’s not just about the drinks. It’s a really good way to get good at something together, and then you’ve got a party trick to impress your mutual friends at a later date. All you need is YouTube, a basic guide to mixology, and a few ingredients, and you’re good to go!

Musical Magic
This one isn’t for everyone, but if you’re musically inclined, listening to some old records together can literally be a dream night. Even better, if either of you sing or play an instrument, you could even write some songs or perform some covers for YouTube.
See? You don’t need a whole load of money to make staying in a good time!
