A new fall-winter 2013-2014 collection of MANOLO BLAHNIK shoes is traditionally represented with creative and classic models and reflects the designer’s diversity.
Bright colors and graphic shapes of pop art were inspired by Marvel comic books. They reflect the playful and cheeky character of the collection; the luxurious and lavishly decorated models remind us of the French history by designer Manolo. A model, decorated with fluffy fur pom-poms is not a reminder of slippers, but a hint to the image of a court jester, entertaining respectable audience.
Feminine models of the collection contrast with the shoes in the style of Greta Garbo, which became the designer’s muse in the creation of leather brogues and two-color suede boots. High military Bundeswehr zipper or lace-up boots, buckled boots with high and flat heels introduce a practical touch to the collection. Coming from the previous collection, kitten heel shoes with a pointed nose continue to be popular in the new season. The BBTONDO-50 model was made specifically for Richard Nicoll show, and the CRUZ model – leather ankle boots with suede leggings, covering the ankle – was created for Victoria Beckham.
