While designers are going out on a limb to present us with breathtaking items of clothing and footwear that may not wear out in the streets with as much grace as on the catwalk, many women find it hard to obtain an outfit that will do fine for active city wear.
No-one knows this better than Heidi Klum, who does as much walking the catwalk as rushing about town, hurrying to be in time for meetings and driving carpool.
Discussing the problem with UsMagazine, the model-cum-actress shared that she never regarded wearing tight jeans and high heels through the day as the answer, and consequently set out to find the remedy. “I wanted to do a collection for women, like me, who are busy with children and work,” said the mother of four. It was to be clothes that would combine style and comfort.
So she came up with the Heidi Klum for New Balance collection (to be found on Amazon only) that comprises dresses, jackets, tops and trousers with reasonable prices starting at $32 and not exceeding $170.
Being satisfied with the overall result, Klum nevertheless has got items in her collection that she raved about to Us. Her choice of the cutest comfy wear are a loose-fitting hooded poncho and a long-sleeve asymmetrical jacket, things that could be worn over other items for an extra touch of great style.
