Domenico Dolce & Stefano Gabbana who have chosen a “flower” topic as the main topic for the new D&G collection line, this time were in the minority – only a few designers, preparing collections for Spring-Summer 2011, remained in such a classic and slightly boring symbol of spring as the floral pattern.
However, in the spring-summer season, floral pattern is still relevant, which the Italian fashion duo managed to prove by means of images endlessly flirtatious, feminine and young.
Small floral patterns, having become the basis for the new D&G collection, decorated every single model – long, light summer sundresses, flirtatious shorts, shortened tops, short summer dresses. However, for those to whom floral patterns have become boring, designers considered other options such as a pattern in a contrasting red and white checkered on shortened summer trousers and dresses, or even tops with images of heroes of Disney fairy tale “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”.
