Fall/winter 2009 collection for Christian Dior was presented this Tuesday at the Paris Haute Couture Week by John Galliano. This ever-scintillating gentleman never forgot to remind to his models as they drifted through the salons up to the Dior flagship store that “Mr. Dior is watching”, not omitting Chanel Iman either.
What Mr. Dior was watching was a striking combination of elegant suits topped by eye-catching hats by Stephen Jones, ball gowns of gorgeous tulle and a staggering batch of bottoms some of which featured in June’s French Vogue as highlights of Carine Roitfeld’s New Look revival. Those who were on the lookout for something more erotic appreciated strapless frocks now and then augmented by corsets and even suspender belts added for connoisseurs.
