A new study shocked British women by announcing that quarter of women wear plus-size clothes. By plus-size we mean large sizes – size 18 (sizes 16+ in the USA).
It should be noted that this figure has grown quite rapidly over the past five years – by 45 per cent. While nutritionists and doctors are troubled by this figure, manufacturers of plus-size clothes, in contrast, are encouraged. The later received an additional and very strong demand.
Plus-size clothes market is growing now. This market is worth £3.8 billion a year, or nearly $6 billion U.S. This increase is observed in the demand for large clothes for women as well as men.
