Playing alcoholic singer Kelly Canter in drama Country Strong, the 38-year-old actress refused to live a lie and started to suck up liquor like a sponge.
On Friday in The Rachael Ray Show Paltrow opened up about the way she primed herself for the role, hitting the bottle and never allowing herself to dry up – the condition she called “awesome”.
“There’s a Bloody Mary at 10 a.m. and keep it going all day,” was how she described her behind-the-scenes work. Even if it was not a customary professional approach!
Work over, Paltrow is traveling back from cocktail time to her preferred lifestyle as supported by Dr. Alejandro Junger’s Clean program. Her latest GOOP newsletter extolled “a happy liver”, “mental clarity” and shaking off some weight – which is how she plans to live through the year 2011.
