Lindsay Lohan’s next role is going to be Linda Lovelace, porn star who turned anti-porn, best known for her 1972 hardcore film Deep Throat. A biopic about her life is on the go, and that news set off Lohan’s estranged father Michael again.
Michael has already been thrashing at Lindsay publicly for some time, saying that she is into drugs again and should undertake a rehab. Claiming that he is at war with her for her own good, Michael describes his daughter as “an amazing, talented, gifted and loving person,” whose life went astray because “she’s been consumed by the people, the lifestyle” and she is in need of help to get back on top again.
Lindsay Lohan continues to deny his drug abuse accusation sturdily.
Now Michael is vehement about Lindsay playing Lovelace. “Oh, I don’t even want to go there!” he blurted out when UsMagazine talked to him at the Hassle at the Castle Charity Boxing Event in NYC on Friday.
He is sure the movie will wreak irrevocable havoc with her career, what with her starting with Parent Trap and Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen and ending up playing roles of adult stars. “Who makes these decisions? If I was there, it would never happen, believe me,” says Michael. He would like to take control and steer her career round to acting in family-style films that would appeal to all kinds of people… But for the time being father and daughter are still at odds.
