It is not only on TV that dramatic events are constantly unfolding in the life of Leighton Meester, the star of the “Gossip Girl” series. A law suit between the actress and her mother, which started a year ago, has recently ended in favor of the daughter.
In the summer of 2011, Leighton sued her own mother Constance because she had used for other purposes the money that the actress had been sending. Every month, Leighton sent seven and a half thousand dollars to her parents’ house for the treatment of her 18-year-old brother. Constance really sent the money to the clinic, though it was for plastic surgeries that she regularly underwent together with other expensive procedures.
The offended mother filed a countersuit, saying that her daughter Leighton had promised to send 10,000 dollars to any family needs. By means of this case, she even tried to get three million dollars from Meester Junior. In addition, the “caring” mother said that she had been beaten by her own daughter just before Christmas.
As a result, the judge did not believe Mrs. Meester. The case ended in Leighton’s favor. In turn, she requires no financial compensation from the mother, but only wants Constance to leave her alone. Hopefully, Leighton’s family will regain harmony, but it is hard to believe it after this event.
