To commemorate the 25th anniversary of her stage career, Kylie Minogue has released a book Kylie/Fashion, dedicated to her “romance” with fashion, which has been going on throughout her career.
The book tells the story of her relationship with the world of fashion and its heroes throughout her career. For Kylie, it is a great honor to be part of the history of creative designers and fashion houses that she has worked with. After reviewing her personal files, she seems to have made a trip to her “fashionable past” and gone through those wonderful moments again. That was the reason why the singer decided to share them with her fans.
During her career, the singer managed to collaborate with a variety of famous designers. Their list includes Jean Paul Gaultier, John Galliano, Stella McCartney, Christopher Kane, Giles Deacon and other well-known designers, whose words about working with Kylie are quoted in the pages of the book. Thus, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana write it has always been pleasant for them to create something special for “their little princess”.
The illustrated retrospective of the book is made up of stage costumes and the outfits from Kylie Minogue’s music videos, which she had worn during the 25 years of her prolific creative work. Here one can see the infamous white dress with a hood and gigantic cuts from the Can’t Get You Out Of My Head music video, gold mini-shorts from the Spinning Around music video, and the Greek design dress from the Aphrodite music video. Dolce and Gabbana once said that the dress from the Aphrodite video made Kylie look like a goddess!
The book will also include the singer’s photo shoots for glossy magazines and the commentary of her creative director William Baker. The publishing of Kylie Minogue’s writing work is scheduled by the Thames & Hudson publishing house for November 19.
