  1. You mustn’t do Bikram yoga if you have slightest problems with the heart (heart failure, tachycardia, hypertension, problems with the mitral and aortic valves)!
  2. Abstain from such activity if you have varicose veins, as the load on blood vessels in these conditions increases. Also, do not attend Bikram yoga classes, if the outflow of venous blood from the brain is obstructed.
  3. Humid air increases the risk of asthma. Moreover, in conditions of isolation and increased water consumption there is an increased load on the kidneys.
  4. Do not do this kind of yoga when you have a period. Under the influence of temperature, bleeding can only increase. If you have gynecological diseases, it’s also a taboo.
  5. Warming up can only increase the swelling. Therefore, Bikram yoga should not be practiced when you have fever, colds, or sinusitis.
  6. Diabetics should beware too – they generally must choose a very careful approach to physical activity, since the concentration of sugar in the blood can fall sharply.
