Every woman wants to have beautiful legs. But what can be done with big calves? How to make big calves smaller? There are special exercises.
1. Rise on tiptoes
Stand straight and set your feet parallel to each other on the width of the pelvis. Inhale and rise on your toes as you exhale. Repeat this exercise 25-30 times.
2. Rise on the toes of one foot
Stand straight, with the body weight fully placed on the right foot, the left foot being lifted off the floor and bent in the knee. Take a deep breath and rise on the toes. Repeat the exercise 15-20 times on each foot.
3. Rise on the “in-toed feet”
Stand straight, place your feet on the width of the pelvis, with the toes pointed inward. Now take a deep breath and rise on your toes as you exhale. Repeat the exercise 25-30 times.
This small set of exercises should be repeated twice a day. However, at least six months will pass until you will be able to reduce the size of your calves for a couple of centimeters with the help of just these exercises. To reduce this period, you should do more exercises.
4. Turn on your knees
Sit on your knees on a soft rug or mat, keep your back straight; the hands should be placed in front of you. Take turns sitting down on the floor on the left and then on the right side of the thighs in this position. Do as many repetitions as possible.
5. Overhanging heels
Stand on a small platform so that your heels could be hanging from it. Now move up and down on your toes. Keep your back straight.
6. Stretching can also help reduce calves
Step forward with one foot, with the hands resting on the buttocks. Slowly begin to bend the leg that is placed ahead at the knee. Gradually, squat down deeper and to the front, stretching the back of the thigh and the calf muscles of the other leg. To enhance the stretching, simply move the front foot forward, but do not place your hands on it in any case. There is one more thing about this exercise: the main body weight will always be placed on the foot, located behind.
