Scientists from Nottingham Trent University in England invented a simple and available to each representative of the stronger sex way to increase your chances of success with women. For this it is necessary to wear a plain white T-shirt with short sleeves and a large letter T in front. It turns out that such clothing makes the man 12% more attractive in the eyes of women.
According to the authors, these T-shirts give the illusion of broad shoulders and slender waist, that is, the most appreciated V-shaped masculine athletic body. The best results of wearing white T-shirts have been observed in men out of shape. The attractiveness of athletic-looking men increased only slightly.
But wearing a top with an inverted T – the horizontal line positioned at waist level – on the contrary, decreased male attractiveness by 12%. According to the researchers, these shirts focus attention on the men’s belly, which negatively affects the appearance as a whole.
The study helped to clarify the perfect ratio of male waist to the chest, which is between 0.7 and 0.8 (the shoulders should be 20% wider than the waist). Letter T on a white T-shirt creates the illusion of wide shoulders.
