1. Eggs

Nutritionists claim that eggs are full of omega-3 fatty acids, which reduce cholesterol. Omega-3 fatty acids are the chemical substance that is involved in the formation of myelin sheaths of the nerves that help nerve impulses to move along our nerves. Also, these fatty acids strengthen the vessel wall and prevent the formation of atherosclerotic plaques. However, the studies have shown that the omega-3 fatty acids found in eggs do not have a positive effect on the body. It turns out that one just has to read the composition of the product to see this. Only three types of omega-3 fatty acids are really useful: EPA; DMA; ALA. And the most necessary ones for the body include Omega-3 fatty acids found in red fish.

2. Red Beet

This root vegetable contains vitamin C, folic acid, fiber, antioxidants, which fight cancer. However, beet contains much oxalate and oxalic acid salt. Excessive intake of beet can lead to kidney stone disease. Besides, beets, especially cooked ones, are characterized by the high glycemic index, meaning that they lead to the increased appetite.

3. Fruit Yoghurt

Fat-free yoghurt does not mean that it is useful. On the packaging, it says that the yoghurt contains sugar, corn syrup or artificial sweeteners. It’s the same with low-fat frozen yoghurt, which can contain 20 oz. sugar or 1/2 pots.

A good alternative is to take plain yoghurt and add sliced fruit.

4. Bread

You may believe the popular myth: the more grains you have, the more useful the bread will be. However, the usefulness of the product does not depend on the basis of the cereal part in the bread. What matters is how the grain is ground before making a loaf. The most useful bread is from wheat flour or whole wheat flour.

5. Carrot

This vegetable contains a lot of fiber and beta-carotene, so it can be used to treat constipation, and to improve vision. However, carrots contain a lot of sugar. The fresh product contains only 30 calories per 100 grams, but, when cooked, carrot fiber breaks down into simple sugars. They are very easy to digest, through the stomach directly into the blood, and from the blood it goes to the problem areas. So eating carrots, especially when they are cooked, will not help in losing weight.

6. Fruit Juice

Even a 100% fruit juice comprises sugar and fructose. It is known that excessive amounts of fructose lead to obesity and increased cholesterol.

A good alternative is to prepare fruit juice by yourself or just eat fruit.

7. Frozen Foods

There is nothing wrong with frozen vegetables or fruit. However, most frozen foods are mistakenly considered to be “light” and “useful.” This is actually a processed food, which includes a lot of sugar.

A good alternative is to cook the food for the “upcoming day” in the morning or in the evening.

8. Fast Food Salads

You will not lose weight because of the sugar contained in the leaves of lettuce and croutons made from white flour.

Sometimes it’s better to order a double cheeseburger than a chicken salad.

Alternative is to make your own salads.

9. Cereals Breakfast

Grains are known for being healthy and nutritious, they are recommended for weight loss. However, read the package of your breakfast cereals: they contain lots of sugar and salt, and all the vitamins and minerals in the product have a chemical origin.

In fact, the food that really helps to lose weight should speed up metabolism.
