Women are constantly reminded of the fact that their skin needs moisture, and therefore they should drink several glasses of water daily. However, it seems that the need to drink water for skin beauty is just another myth.
Experts from the British Nutrition Center point out that one of the most common tips for beauty and youth – water – does not really have a scientific basis. Scientists simply do not have any arguments to confirm the undoubted benefits of active water consumption for prolonging skin youth.
According to the experts, it is much more important to drink and eat properly to keep the skin healthy. A woman’s daily diet must contain fruits and vegetables full of vitamins A, B, C, and E. If there is a lack of these essential elements, skin loses moisture and becomes rough and inflamed.
In addition, it is important to protect your skin from the negative effects of smoking and sunlight that trigger premature skin aging and lead to the loss of elasticity.
Of course, water consumption is of great importance for overall body health. But drinking it specifically for skin smoothness is just not rational, experts say. It is much better to use sunscreen and eat more fruits and vegetables.
