The specialists from the Yonsei University College of Medicine have invented a pill based on ginseng, that could potentially replace the products treating erectile dysfunction.
The new drug was tested on 119 volunteers, who were suffering from this disease. They were divided into two groups. The first group took four pills with an extract of Korean Ginseng berry each day, while the other group was given a placebo. Eight weeks later, the first group demonstrated the improvement of sexual life if compared with the men who took the placebo. The researchers believe that the berries of Korean Ginseng can be used as an alternative to the drugs treating male impotence.
For thousands of years, ginseng has been used in alternative folk medicine as a remedy against a number of diseases, and a means to improve overall health.
