Those days, when millions of people spend most of their day in front of computer and pressure on the eyes is really extreme, it is time to listen to the medics’ advices. And what they recommend is consumption of fatty fish at least once a week – they claim that by doing so we can prevent development of eye illnesses when we get old.
British scientists held a study which was specifically designed to examine this question. They established that regular consumption (at least once a week) of fatty red fish decreases the probability of having poor eyesight beyond the age of 60 by 50%.
In addition, it was also discovered that only red fish, such as tuna, salmon, mackerel, has the ability to protect eyesight.
